Photo session and snotty noses

Today we tried to do a photo session with the girls, well they really did not want anything to do with it. But I wanted to dress them in cute little outfits before they grow out of them. Since we dont leave the house and they have to stay warm they just wear sleepers all the time so here is my attemt at a photo shoot.

My little babies have a cold and they are conjested, I want nothing more than for them to get BETTER, so helpless when a baby has a cold bc they cant blow their noses or tell you when they dont feel good! So we have been doing a lot of soothing holding and rocking and trying to put saline drops in their noses to clear a little bit so they can breathe when they eat! So we have had no visitors for almost a week now because I WANT them to get better! Which in return means I have been by myself with them alot, with lonnie at work during the day, but we have got ourselves  a routine and its working!! Let me tell you its work work work!! My job title is 24/7 ROUND THE CLOCK working MOM :) Saying a prayer my little girls get rid of their colds VERY soon!

Mommy's Day

The most AMAZING feeling in the world and best thing that has ever happened to me was the day that I gave birth too my two beautiful baby girls, and now at 5weeks and 2 days old we celebrate the day of Motherhood. I love them more than the 1,467,890,456,230 times I can tell you over and over again. I love when they are sleeping snug against my chest, as I kiss their tiny little fingers one by one. My heart swells daily for the two of them. I love when they make sweet noises and they dont know they are doing it. I love when they stretch and arch their backs and purse their lips like they are blowing a kiss. I love to watch them smile. I love to know that I am going to watch them grow each day into their own little personalitys. I know that Zoey is more calm and Lillianah is more fiesty. I love to love you....

TWO princesses

Girls: They are doing great and are gaining weight like they should be!
                                        Lillianah          Zoey
Born                                 5.4                  5.11
Day 2                               5.1                  5.5
Leaving Hospital               5.3                  5.6
Week Old                        5.3                  5.7
Two Weeks                     5.13                5.12
Three Weeks                   6.5                   6.6
One Four weeks              6.14                6.14
We are working on sleeping at night and not during  the day so we have our days and nights mixedup a little bit! WE have our start of a schedule, we try and eat every 2.5-3 hours during  the day, unless they get hungary earlier. But my one main rule is if one baby eats the other baby eats, I always tandum feed  no matter what. 45 mins before they eat I lay them on a blanket and wake them up so they start to learn that its day time and not night time. There is never a dull mommnt b the time I am done with waking up, feeding, chaging and pumping its almst time to do it again. The little faces that they make at you melts your heart, even the smiles that the are doing because they are dreaming or they have gas, still are the sweetest things you have ever seen. When they stretch and make an O face I could just melt. They stare at the celling lights, like its the most amazing thing they have ever seeen. Just starring at them while they sleep or while they are awake is just simply FAB.

Bonding: Bonding with my two girls was from the first instant that I saw them ( well I dont remember much after my c-section because of so many drugs and pain meds, but that momment I looked into both their eyes will stay with me forever!) There is nothing like carrying a baby or TWO in my case of 36 weeks and 5 days and wondering what all their features were going to look like and then seeing them for the first time. I mean how can you resist these two sweet faces...

Status: I am doing much better as far as physically from having a major surgery, but I would not say up to par just yet. My stomach is still hard and distended so I think it looks like I am still preggers, hopefully it will go down soon! Please some one with TWINS tell me it does go down from my uterus being stretch with TWO! I would not say I am up to par yet. I was starting to go a little stir crazy, so I went out for the first time this past saturday with my sister, first time just to go out and do what I wanted in two months, One month of bed rest and then my girls are one month old, it was also the first time I left them! But Grand-mere wellman watched them for me:) Anyways, No one would look and say "Wow you look great,,without following it with ...for having twins...," But on a good note I no longer get up like I am  an 100 year old lady, but it still does take some effort to go form a laying to sitting position. As my abs were completley destroyed and spereated and stretched out who knows if I will eer get those back. I no longer sob uncontrollably just because...well for any reason really. I think have gained my physical and emotional stability which helps with all this chaos and stress!

Pumping and feeding: Pumping requires full dedication on a daily basis of every 2-3 hours a day and that is 24/7 not just day time. Supply on demand, my body will hopefully keep producing even more each time as my girls start to eat more!! As a result of the girls not gaining enough weight in the begininng I am pumping and btl feeding, I will put them on BF from time to time, but for the most part they get btls so I can see how much they are getting and making sure my princesses are fattening right on up! Feeding is the same dedication but its on the girls schedule not mine. I feed them every 2.5 - 3 hours or as they appear hungary, so if its every two hours then that it is what it is, and thats from the start time not the ending time of each feeding!  I think ZOey is going to be my little eater, she always tends to finish her btls faster than miss lillianah!

Sleep deprivation: I have recently read in a magazine that once you become a mother you never sleep as soudly as you did before you had children, and yes I am a FIRM believer of this statment! I jolt the momment I hear the smallest peep come out of one of the girls! The first few weeks I would nod of and be sleepy when waking to feed them or just sooth them but now its like One of them are awake and my body just adjusts to it and I am wide awake, which is very helpful I rather be wide awake in the middle of the night if they are awake then sleepy, it makes feedding, and changing alot easier! Lonnie helps as much as he can with all the night feedings. I think that Men dont suffer from this chronic inhability to return to deep sleep after having a baby or in our case TWO!:) But everyone told me you just do it and as I am learning VERY quickly you just do!

MOre updates hopefully coming sooooon!

Back in Action

Hello friends and Family, I am now back and posting on my blog again, I can not promise I will keep it updated as I used to my life is a little crazy busy now but I will try to from time to time. Firstly, the girls are doing wonderful, they are gaining weight and sleeping alot!! Well they were just sleeping during the day and awake at night, I think they have their days and nights mixed up, which makes it a little hard but its all worth it. but the past couple nights hav been much better. We have a routine of 45 mins before every feeding i lay them down on a blanket and wake them up, do whatever I need to do, so they can learn the difference between day and night and so far it seems to be working, accept last night we had a bad night, but I guess we need to have those every now and then, Being a mom is the most wonderful thing in the world to expereience, Its amazing how easily you can fall in love with something with one look! I love my girls so much! I will eventually put my birth story on here but that is for a later day when I have more time as it will take me w whileee to write! Anywho, I have added some updated pictures of the girls!

First Night Home!

Just to give everyone an update, I am sure Mandy can describe the experience a lot better then I, but just wanted to keep everyone posted. The girls did great getting home Grandma Farmer had to hold their chins up on the way home from the hospital because they were just so tiny in their car seats! They got home and everything seem to be going pretty smooth until we took their rectal temp. (advised by the hospital) So Mandy and Lonnie weren't quite sure how this was done so grandma wellman and I(Aunt Heather) decide to show them! We had Lilli lying on the bed(bad idea) we stuck the thermometer in and the next thing you know a big explosion shot right out all over grandma! It was the funniest thing ever! We cleaned up the bed  and Lilli in between dying laughing! So now it is Zoey's turn, we got a lil smarter this time we put a chuck under her and did it on the floor, 2 seconds later another shot all over grandma! Zoey and Lilli got her good!!! I think that was the hardest I have laughed in a long time! We got the girls changed and swaddled all ready for bed! Except it sounds like Zoey didn't really want to sleep! So Zoey was up all night and Lilli slept. I think Zoey is going to be the fiesty one!!! Since Mandy is still in a lot of pain Grandma Farmer is spending the night tonight and Grandma Wellman is spending the night tomorrow night! Tomorrow's their first doctor's appointment!!!

Last Friday

Well its 7:30 AM on my last official Friday of not being a mommy. I slept about MAYBE 2 hours last night, Majority of it because of my PUPPPS, I dont wish this on anyone its the most uncomfortable thing in the entire world. This is how I can explain it, imagine getting bug bites all over your body and they are at their itchest point b4 they get better, thats what it feels like all the time. Except for the 10 minutes relief I get after I get out of the shower or put cream on me. Sometimes slapping myself is better because I rather feel that pain for a split second than my itchyness! BUT its for my little ones so it makes it a little bit easier! But on the other hand (the positive side) I might not have been able to sleep either because my little girls will be here on Monday morning before lunch time! I am scheduled to go in to St. Marys @ 8am and my C- section is scheduled for 10am! I am having a c-section due to Zoey's cord placement is marginal and me having polyhydraminos. I am getting delivered early due to my pre-e and PUPPPS, both only will cure with delivery! I am so excited, anxious, nervous, I cant wait to meet our little girls and I am praying for an easy pregnancy with two healthy baby girls as the outcome:)
I am VERY nervous about trying to Breastfeed for two, but I am hoping that I produce enough and they take to it well, so its easier for all 4 of us! I just wonder will they have lots of hair or a little, dark or light, what color will their eyes be?!!? So many thoughts to ponder across and I am sure it is going to make this weekend go by super slow! I am starting to freak out and wonder if I am ready for them and prepared here at home, trying to make sure I have everything done and in order! I am officially in the nesting period, well I think I have been for a while now. Alright well I am going to go get ready for my last doctors appt this morning!!!!!
