Lilypie - Personal pictureLilypie Second Birthday tickers

3.31.2011

I was researching quotes to use at the girls birthday party this weekend, as you all know, my sweet monsters are going to be thing 1 and thing 2. Well I came across this poem and thought it was SUPER cute and wanted to share, it fits my lifestyle perfect just now, and of course it helps that it is Dr. Seuss!
Dr. Seuss for Nursing Moms

Would you nurse her in the park?

Would you nurse him in the dark?

Would you nurse him with a Boppy?

And when your boobs are feeling floppy?

I would nurse him in the park,

I would nurse her in the dark.

I’d nurse with or without a Boppy.

Floppy boobs will never stop me.

Can you nurse with your seat belt on?

Can you nurse from dusk till dawn?

Though she may pinch me, bite me, pull,

I will nurse her `till she’s full!

Can you nurse and make some soup?

Can you nurse and feed the group?

It makes her healthy strong and smart,

Mommy’s milk is the best start!

Would you nurse him at the game?

Would you nurse her in the rain?

In front of those who dare complain?

I would nurse him at the game.

I would nurse her in the rain.

As for those who protest lactation,

I have the perfect explanation.

Mommy’s milk is tailor made

It’s the perfect food, you need no aid.

Some may scoff and some may wriggle,

Avert their eyes or even giggle.

To those who can be cruel and rude,

Remind them breast’s the perfect food!

I would never scoff or giggle,

Roll my eyes or even wiggle!

I would not be so crass or crude,

I KNOW that this milk’s the perfect food!

We make the amount we need

The perfect temp for every feed.

There’s no compare to milk from breast-

The perfect food, above the rest.

Those sweet nursing smiles are oh so sweet,

Mommy’s milk is such a treat.

Human milk just can’t be beat.

I will nurse, in any case,

On the street or in your face.

I will not let my baby cry,

I’ll meet her needs, I’ll always try.

It’s not about what’s good for you,

It’s best for babies, through and through.

I will nurse her in my home,

I will nurse her when I roam.

Leave me be lads and ma’am.

I will nurse her, Mom I am.

We like Target do you?

Target, is our favorite place to shop. I mean it has a little bit of every thing, you can go in there and pretty much get anything you need, besides meats and fresh fruit. But thats ok. I am like an addict, I have to go there every weekend, even if I do not need anything, but I some how manage to come up with a list of things that I "need." (or i think i need) and when I say "I," I really should say babies, bc they are the center of my shopping now.
They do have good deals and you get great cupons after you buy something. Don't you think they should give them to you before? I do, that would be great.
We do lots of shopping, the girls LOVE to look around and shop, I am glad I have girls, Keagan always goes with us too. BC I always shop with my mere and my soeur. But in a couple years, Keagan is going to want to go "fishing, hunting, or play with his daddy" and no more mommy shopping time! This is why she needs to have another baby! Don't you think? THen I will have two kids and then she will have two kids and mom and dad will have 4 grandkids. Then we will be tied, PERFECT, then after that, well lets not talk about after that because I am not ready for more kids for a while. Would love it, but I am enjoying my time with just my two girls right now, selfish? Maybe. But I love them and not ready for more nor is my body.
Speaking of bodiess,, ehhhhhh pre-pregnancy body where did you go!? Please come back!

We just started a couple weeks ago a stroller mama's group. We work out with the babies 3 days a week, its great! I love it, run, walk, jog, and do lots of cardio, abs, legs and arms, and buts! We work it all and it could not have been working out better!!!

Do you like to shop? Circle yes or no?

They always take off their shoes! This was the end of our shopping trip!!! Both missing a sock and a shoe off the same foot! Silly girls!

MS walk

This morning we went to the MS walk, this is the 2nd year we have done it and it would have been the third but I was a new mommy of twins at this event last year, so we had to skip it. MS means alot of our family. One of my good friends (Cameron her dad is John) dad has MS, one of Lonnie's cousins(Patrick), and his co-worker renee's mother passed from MS(kim), and one of my kids at the gym mother has MS(shelly). This is where our team name came from "Walking for Kim, John, Patrick, and Shelly." So we are all surrounded, and I bet if you asked 5 people at least one of them would know someone with MS, once you start talking about it, people come out of the wood works.

Here is the story of our team, please read! We love for new walkers to join, so come join our team next year! This was taken from the MS website for our team.

Kimberly McDowell was diagnosed in the 80's at the age of 22 with M.S. She lived at a time where not many people, including physicians, knew what the disease was & how to treat it. Kim had one of the rarest forms of the disease, the Progressive-Relapsing in which only about 5% of people diagnosed with M.S have. There were no advanced medicines as there are today & she was given only things to cure her symptoms, which in turn, made her condition worse due to side effects from those medications. She lived some of her life with a cane/walker...then spent a decade or more in a wheelchair, before having to be admitted to a nursing home for her last five years. She passed away on Memorial Day of 2006 at the age of 46. Her life gives us hope of the advanced technology and treatments available to those recently diagnosed and dreams that are now closer upon us than ever before to find a cure. Her daughter, Renee McDowell, is team captain & Chairman of the Walk.

John Chewning, was diagnosed with MS in 1995. He has been a highschool math teacher for 37 years and has been very determined to continue teaching, which is a passion of his. Before his diagnosis, he was at school all day and coaching indoor and outdoor highschool soccer after school. Since his diagnosis with MS, he has physically slowed down a bit teaching 3 sections of highschool math and spectating highschool sports, but maintains the same positive attitude he's had all his life. In April of 1996, he was in a wheelchair because his MS began affecting his ability to walk. He was hospitalized during this time for a while, however by July of 1996, he was walking again. He currently walks with the assistance of 2 canes and in December '07 was able to walk me down the aisle at my wedding. He is currently giving himself treatments to help with his MS. We all want to help find a cure for this disease, so please come out, show your support and "Walk MS"..

Patrick Farmer was diagnosed in 2009 at the age of 26. He was not too familiar with the disease when he was diagnosed, but is learning more about it and how to manage it. Being recently diagnosed, he has access to therapy and treatments that were not available years ago, thanks to fundraising for research, etc. He hopes to live a fun, exciting and MS symptom free life with his wonderful wife Sara & their newborn son Hayden.

Shelly Shuman-Johnson got up one morning in January of 2001 and realized while presenting a training she could not speak clearly and was experiencing numbness and weakness on her left side. After an initial MRI and a 4 day hospital stay she was diagnosed as having suffered 3 small mini strokes because no other indication of MS existed. 11 months later symptoms, including visual problems, increased. A subsequent MRI indicated additional lesions. Further test were run and in November of 2001 Shelly was diagnosed with MS. She knew nothing about the disease, didn't even know what MS stood for, what treatment was available or if there was a cure but in some strange way was relived to finally have a diagnosis that would not take her life. She immediately began treatment of weekly inter-muscular injections of Avonex which she and her family learned together to administer. Shelly realized MS is a life altering disease but refuses to let it be a life controlling disease. Shelly is blessed to have a wonderful family that has supported and helped her deal with every aspect of MS. Without them she would not be able to continue to work full time, participate in her children's many activities and enjoy time with her husband and friends. With the support of these special people she hopes to continue to enjoy a long happy life. Shelly her husband Bill, children Evin and Brooke, along with several friends and members of the FAME All Star Family are walking in this event to raise money for the MS Society. She feels lucky to be able to WALK for MS and hopes with events like this there will someday be a cure!

MS, as for many things, needs a cure! We can do things to help out! Even the smallest thing can make a HUGE difference! Show you care!

We had a fun walk, and the girls did wonderful in the stroller! I walked the first 1.5 miles and ran the second 1.5 miles with my stroller in hand! It was a great walk and I had two TIRED sleepy babies at the end! But it was fun and they ENJOYED looking all around! Until next year...

OH THE JOYS!

Scene: Lonnie chaning Lillianah, and I was changing zoey.
SN: If you know our babies, they dont SIT STILL, at all. Exp. when their diaper is being changed.
Coke in the cup holder on the couch.

Lillianah was good this time and let lonnie change her diaper. he finished in a few minutes, while I was doing this.
Me: lay zoey down, and i get her pants around her ankles.
Z: GETS UP, and races for the coke can.
Me: lay zoey back down
z: GETS UP, and races for the coke can.
Me: (Lonnie is done changing Lillianah at this point) Lonnie will you grab the can and put it on the other side of you, she wants it and that why she keeps getting up. I lay her back down. He moves the can. I open her diaper, POOP.
Z: GETS UP, falls on my leg, poop on the pants, sits on the floor, poop on the floor,
ME: lonnie help , she wont lay down
(she is a squirmy little thing and a STRONG liltt monkey, no one can hold her down if she doesnt want to, it takes two of us)
ME; I get her to lay back down and lonnie is talking to her so she sits still just enough for me to get the poop of her back/but, but not all of it.
(we are so busy focusing on zoey, what did we forget about? the coke can, OH, NO! Lillianah spills the coke everywhere, lonnie goes to get paper towels, Lillianah trys to play in it, i go to get her,,oh more poop everywhere, then zoey tried to play in it, and kept laughing as we tried to take her away.)
Me: layed zoey back down, finally got her diaper changed.

miss you

I am at work today, and missing my babies today {everyday}.
I want to go home...
and...
snuggle them,
make them lunch,
watch them sleep,
run like a  crazy person chasing them around the house,
play peek-a boo in their new Dora house,
get on the floor and act like a complete idiot with them,
tickle their thighs til they laugh until they cant laugh anymore {tickle spot},
change their diapers and have them run away from me and pee on the floor, {then i clean the floor}
read them books,
hold their hands as they walk,
push them on their swing set,
help them slide down the slide,
build sand castles{and knock them down},
give lots of XOXO's,
brush their hair,
play dress up,
try and put their hair in piggy tails{still too soon, not long or thick enough yet} but I try, {everyday} thinking it may grow over night,
laugh with them,
here the words mama,
feed them chz,
and just be with my babies.

But I gotta make that dollar so I can dress them in sweet princess clothes and spoil them to pieces!

A day in the Life of K

well K is no longer a Baby, he is a toddler. a BIG boy. so He thinks.
if you could say duck and dog. woudln't you think you were a big boy too.
k has a playdate with L and Z every wednesday and thursday, FUN? yes.
he is very adventurous latley, gets into..lets see, everything.
his favorite thing to do, is take off then vent covers, and throw things down them.
yes, its a game he plays.
k is walking, and crawling faster than i can run. growing tall big man.
we took some pictures today, i would like to share.
                                 Good Morning!

                                                                 Sweet Faces!

                                                       Climbs on EVERYTHING!

he got into this car by him self, no joke

ketchup...lets dip my chicken, green beans and chz in it...

                                                                           YUM!

mAmA, why were you stressing me not drinking whole milk? I love it!

So, there is a funny story behind this, why, do you ask is he laying on a boppy taking his nap. Well K, sleeps in my room in the pack and play, i put him to sleep with a blanket laying on the bottom, a pillow under his head, a binky in his mouth and his soft blanky to cuddle him, i went to check on him after about 10 mins, what did I find, both blankets, the pillow and his binky on the floor outside of the PNP, and he was asleep on the hard matress in a ball with Lillianahs pink binky in his mouth! { wanted to to a pic, but didnt want to wake him up by going back to get my camera} then about 30 mins later he was screaming so i brought him down stairs and he slept on the boppy next to me with HIS binky and his blankets.

K, Love you to the moon and back again!

Hotdogs

My sister had a small cookout -playdate on saturday night. We went over with some friends to have dinner, we decided we would like to have a drink and relax so we packed to stay for the night. This does not happen often, although now we are not having to take as much stuff as we used to so it was not that bad getting everything together, but this is how the nigth went= NO SLEEP. The girls went down ok but then woke up around 1130 and did NOT want to go back to sleep. So mommy no longer got to hang out, I had to aly down with them! Normally I would do CIO, but there were 4 babies sleepin there, so that was not an option. But we had fun, glad to hang out while I could, although that night I think there were some flying cuss words. Precious Babies, want to see? OH btw, Jordan taught Lillianah, (choo-choo) now, so everytime I say choo-choo, she pumps her arm, ADORBALE!

P.S Turn your computer sideways to see these sweet faces, v or h, would you please stop!!!

the boyfriends have arrived...

As MOST of you know from my previous post or reading here. Miss Amanda went to the hospital this past Monday. She went in for high BP, and then resulted in having almost Severe Pre-e and low platlets, who does this sound like? oh, mwah! I had the same issues when I was scheduled do have an emergency c-section. Her doctor was out of town and they got her BP under control so they told her she could wait til wednesday morning and they would keep mointoring her and the babies to make sure all is well. Wednesday morning, I recieve a text that reads, "ITS GO TIME." I was super excited. I have been waiting for this day to come. Not only excited about the babies being brought into this world, but excited about if they were going to be boys or girls! YEA! So to sum it up Amanda was in labor for 16 hours, after lots of pushing Baby A got stuck in the birth canal and they ended up having to do a c-section. At 3:00A.M, Al Joseph was born weighing 6 pounds and 13 oz. Big baby for twins! At 3:01AM, Harrison Matthew was born weighing 5 pounds and 5 oz.

Both mommy and babies are doing well, Little Harry had to go to the nicu for a little while he was having a high heart rate and had fluid in his lungs. He ended up getting to go see mommy and released from the Nicu Thursday night where Amanda got to hold BOTH her babies together for the first time! Amazing feeling, I have to say.

Miss Amanda is going ok, having a few complications herself, nothing major, but she is doing well, hanging in there! Her babies are healthy and she carried twins to 36 weeks and 3 days, I dont think she could ask for anything more!!

I am SO happy for her and Ryan and their new family of 4!! Motherhood is amazing, and no one can describe or tell you how you feel til you look into your little ones eyes for the very first time, priceless.

P-R-A-Y-E-R-S to

so i dont even know where to begin. what to say. im wicked excited right now. my heart is beating fast. my palms are sweaty. im having flashbacks. im praying. i have so many mixed emotions. why, do you ask? one of my best friends. yes one of them. i have several don't you? i think we all do, i love my friends, oh there i go again getting off topic. well arent you wondering why i am so SUPER DUPER excited. well miss amanda went into the hospital yesterday(she is the friend that is preggers with baby a AND baby b) now do you remember? well if you don't you can read here. let me back track im not happy that she is in the hospital but i am happy that she is moments, hours, days, away from feeling the best feeling in the world, that god can give us, and that is motherhood. her two bundles of joy are soon to arrive into this world.

she is doing ok. swelling. joints hurting. feeling like shrek. ready to loose about 50 pounds over night. getting kicked every few minutes. doing alot of wondering, wouldnt you be? wondering what color hair her babies are going to have. wondering if they are boys or girls.( yes she waited, i dont think i could, could you?). wondering if they are going to be big or small. wondering how much hair they are going to have. wondering who they are going to look like. wondering if she is going to have a vaginal or end up with a c-section. wondering if she is going to cry after they are born( well maybe not wondering this she prolly knows she will) wondering how her sexy ass husband is going to look holding two small babies in the palms of his hands. wondering if all his" front " he has been putting up about how "easy" raising twins is going to be. if that will change after night 1 in the hospital with them. or should i say night 1 in the hospital? no i dare not i should say night 1 at home with mommmy and daddy. alone. wondering  i think if she were sitting next to me and i asked her all these as quesions she would say yes to all of them.

i am sending prayers to the pehanicks and the journey they are about to go through and experience. i pray for a healthy delivery for mommy and babies. bets on what they are? boys? girls? they are identical so they are not one of each. i say boys. i want to say girls but my bet is boys. so booya!

3.14.2011

And....

i used to be singular. just me, myself, and i. those days were fun and they were very special, those times made me who i am today.

then me turned into us. it was me AND lonnie. so it was always what were WE going to do tonight. what are we going to eat for dinner. and so on... are you getting it? good.

not long after, well and we all know that story, not long after it was just me AND him. our relationship grew by 4 feet. WOW. big breath. scared. YES? excited. YES! life changing momment that I will remember forever YES YES YES!

then about 11 months 1 week 6 days 21 hours and  3 minutes ago our we( as me and lonnie) turned into, me, AND lonnie, AND Lillianah, then 11 months 1 week 6 days 21 hours and 2 minutes ago we turned in to

me, lonnie, lillianah AND zoey.

guess what? i would not change a thing. im blessed to have these two bundles of joy in my life. they have turned me into a better person!

i love it.

FYI. I will not be adding another AND to my life, til my babies are toddlers atleast!

Thr33 Musketeers

Today we had a Play- Dinner Date with Sadie Bug! We went to Red Robin and then walked around the mall for abit to get some of the girls energy out b4 putting them back in the car! I t was fun, love to chat about all the different things all three girls are doing, love love love they are going to grow up together!!!

3.10.2011

And JUST sometimes...

We catch them doing things they shouldn't be doing...
I am guilty, I have to admit it, I was on the other side of the couch with Z, and I kept calling for L, because she was being quiet, after about 3 mintues of her not responding I finally got up and walked around the couch and found this!!!
1. Guilty for not throwing the diaper away right after I changed her.
2. Guilty for not getting her after about 30 seconds of her being quiet!
Well s*It happens, Literally!

3.09.2011

Sharing is Caring!

The girls have their "new thing" they like to do. They want to hand you everything but then when you go to take it they pull away. They are "sharing!" Too cute, exp. when they go crawl to something they are not supposed to have, they pick it up and hand it to you!
Lillianah "handing me her Bannana Stick"

Zoey, "handing me her Cookie"

Oh The faces when the are eating new things are so FUN!

Love them to pieces!!

Playground and Sick Babies!

Well Saturday Lonnie put up the girls very first play ground!!! I am SUPER excited about this, can you tell ? Don't you just love love love to swing? It makes my heart HAPPY! The girls love swinging, it brings smiles to their faces from ear to ear the second they get in them!! Grammy and Grand daddy, bought the swing set for the girls for Christmas. And Grand Daddy spent ALOT of time working on it. I think he read the manual for about two weeks on how to put it together!! Then worked on it by him self on Friday then on Saturday, Lonnie, Grand Daddy, and many friends of theirs came over to help put together the swing set!!! 7:15 Saturday morning, and they worked til 8pm that night! The next morning Lonnie and Grand Daddy worked on it somemore!! And now its officially finished! Wahoo!! It rained on Sunday but we got them out for a quick second to let them swing a bit and take pictures of their first time swinging on the swing set!! Thank you Grammy and Grand Daddy Farmer for our swing set!!

The girls have been sick lately! EH, NO FUN! Lillianah has been sick since last Wednesday with a fever and yucky cold, I was thinking that Zoey was not going to get it because she was so good and made it til Sunday, now both my poor babies are sick, Lillianah is now bronchial and I can hear it in her chest but is almost back to normal, no fever! Little Zobo, has had a a fever for two days and just not her little self!! I am ready for my babies to start feeling better and for MOMMY to get sleep again!!!! Two sick babies = mommy no sleep since wednesday night!!! We also missed all of our plans this weekend, we missed Sadie Bug's first birthday party and we were very sad about that!! We also missed our date with Miss Molly on Sunday!!! Hopefully my babies will get all rested up and start feeling better this week, so we can have a weekend fun full of events!!!

Never say Never!

My sister sent me this link of 15 things I said I would never do b4 I had kids! Well Some of them I can relate too but it goes to things we have not experienced yet as my children are still babies. But it did give me this wonderful Idea, I was going to write my top 10 things that I said I would never do b4 I had kids and now I do them, but then I thought about it, I am going to say 10 things that I would never do when my girls were a couple months old and now, oh I do them! I guess its just the mommy getting experience, or the psychoness( is that a word, not sure but it is going to be a word today) that I went through!

1. Never will my babies be off schedule and eat even 5 minutes after they were supposed to have their bottle. (Yes I was crazy strict about this til they were hmm 6 months old) > ba ha!

2. Never will I give my babies a bottle while I am driving down the road! (Yes this has happend, only when Needed and only when some one else is in the car with me!)

3. Never will I wipe their snotty noses on my clean shirt!

4. Never will I let my babies Cry It out in their cribs to go to sleep! ( Hm I think I croseed this one off at 4 months!)

5. Never will I pump going down the Road! ( um, I think this went out the window about 3 months) Sometimes your milk jugs just need some release pressure action)

6. Never will I let my babies stay in their PJ's all day!

7. Never will I let my babies eat goldfish for lunch( Hey sometimes, it happens)

8. Never will I let my babies sleep in the same bed with me!( ha- ha) Sometimes some good extra cuddle time is needed!

9. Never will my babies not be home for "Nap Time" (Rare, but happens, every now and then cant hurt!)

10. Never will I leave my babies for the night with Daddy to go out with some friends( well it has only happend twice, and I did not leave til they went to bed and I was back in time for them to get up in the morning) SOmetimes you just gotta do it!!!

“How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?”

The girls turned 11 months today! Our friend Sadie turned one today, and it is also Dr. Suess's Birthday, Hooray, I say! The time is flying, where did it go? Where has it gone I don't know, but please slow down, for  I feel like every time I blink my babies have gained another month on life. Which is another milestone or two or three, babies slow down!

Cute Isn't the word! A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!
(We have sweet Sadie Bugs Party on Saturday and we can't wait!)

They are both walking wonderfully! They walk to and from all their toys, down  the hall, and up the stairs if I let them. They think that climbing up the stairs is some kind of game. If I forget to shut the gate, which I rarley forget bc they aim for it everytime, but if I do because I am Human, and as humans we are aloud to forget sometimes, they go racing towards it, and with in seconds, if I do not hear mischief or mayhem anywhere, I think Out Loud, Oh shit! (Yes, I cuss, some, sorry) and then race for the stairs. As they see me turning the corner qickly they crawl faster and laugh out loud like it is so fun to them! They usually are at the 4th or 5th step by the time I get to them, crawling as fast as they can, and laughing out loud! Oh its so cute, I try not to laugh at them because I do not want them to think its a game, although it could be a game one day, but once they have balance, coordination and know how to go up and go down! Do you like the stair game? Circle yes or no.

We are doing good with foods as I posted a previous post, down to three bottles. Sleeping all night. And accomplishing new milestones all the time! They are big girls walking and so soon they will be one years old!!!! They both love to make silly faces at you, and they have tickle spots on their legs! They are SO strong! Love to go out and see different things and people. My children are def. PEOPLE watchers! ha-he! They can now roakc back and 4th on their pink horse with out me showing them how. They like when I read them Books, and they LOVE to have their hair brushed. They wave bye-bye 24-7.

“Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”

Can you?

We can see higher.
We can get into more things.
We can climb to the top of our crib.
We can climb up the couch.
We can open the Dishwasher.
We can walk with shoes on.
We can walk without.
We can chew on our shoes.
We can take our shoes off.
We can not put our shoes on.
We can walk with you.
We can hold your hands.
We can make you smile.
We can walk towards you when you come home from being gone.
We can and will be all over the place and this is just the beginning!
