Snow cream and sweet baby

I feel like I am always on the go, and wanting to relax for just a little while, but I now realized I am not the kind of person that likes to sit still. I am about to go stir crazy being stuck in the house on this beautiful snow weekend. Lonnie had to plow snow all weekend, so I took an adventure to mom and dads for the weekend. SO did heather and Keagan because kevin had to plow. My brother came home from college friday night, so friday night we were all here! I think this was the first time in years, cant remember the last time we all stayed at mom and dads together. It was quite entertaining. I also realized how much I am about to go through with bringing two new babies into this world seeing what my sister was doing with Keagan all weekend. Its not an easy task, not that I thought it was easy but I see how much she does NOT get sleep.

Saturday we ate and watched TV all day and played with the new baby, well me being sick I cant tough him--so I was about to go nuts because I just wanted to play with him!! So I just got to stare at him all weekend while mom and heather tended to him. We made snow cream--well tried too--put a little too much vanilla in it and it was a little strong but it was not that bad--we coudnt remember how to make it because we had not made it since we were little so we looked it up online.

Keagan got his first bath this weekend too--his ambilical cord finally fell off on friday so on saturday mom and heather gave him his first bath. Needless to say he did not like it! He did ok though. Then as soon as they took him out and put him in his towel and started drying him off, heather starts laughing histerically. I go to see what is so funny, well keagan has pooped and peed all over himself, his new towel, and his freshly bathed bottom! We all got a laugh out of it and then washed him off and got him dressed.

Its now sunday morning and heather just told me that she has gone through 36 diapers since FRIDAY. I was shocked, not completley because I see she changes his diapers every time I turn around but 36 and thats one baby! I am going to be having two! SHe  said because she is breastfeeding they go to the bathroom alot more!36 diapers at about 10 -12 dollars---o man! Thats insane. Needless to say I learned alot from this weekend about what I am about to expereience here in the next couple months!

Pushing to the max...

One of the most common questions that I get asked very often is "Do they know when you will have them, will you go full term? I wish I knew, but reality of it is my girls will come when they are ready. They are two little miracles from god and they will make their debute sometime here in the next 12.5 weeks. My goal is to go 37 weeks, which is about full term for twins. If not the complete 40, like a singleton birth. SO many people are so quick to tell me that I wont or cant go full term, but I can, even though I am high risk for pre-term labor because I am carrying twins I want my little girls to stay inside my as long as possible. THe longer they stay in me the healthier they will be!! I would love to have a natural child birth! I am hoping that I do. Right now the girls are head down and both in a good position, so lets hope that they stay that way so I can have a natural child birth and get to experience it to the fullest when I bring my two little girls into this BIG world. Not just a monkey

Everyone has their favorite animal, whether it’s a giraffe, zebra, kangaroo, hippo, or any of the million other creatures of this earth. Mine is one that swings from trees, can be owned as a pet and likes to eat bananas, if you are thinking a monkey then you are correct. I don't know what it is, but those fury little creatures really get me going!
Did you know…

That when monkeys yawn sometimes it’s because they are tired, and sometimes because they are mad?
Monkeys do not eat the peels of their bananas?
Monkeys do not catch colds?
A mother monkey will grab a young monkey’s tail to keep if from traveling too far away from her?

How can you resist a fun little creature like this….

I hope that when my girls arrive they eventually like monkeys too because everytime I see something Monkey I usually make it a MUST have to add to all the other million MONKEY things in the nursery. I have made it very obvisous so people like to buy the girls monkey things too. Debbie got the girls a monkey night light, Sandy got the girls PINK monkey bibs, which im OBBSSESD with already, and Mom got the girls a Monkey stuffed animal...well she said its for the girls but I think its secretly for me because if it was for the girls she would have bought two. Everyone knows that if one twin gets something the other one must get one too. PLus everything mom has bought me has come in twos. So I accepted it for the girls but secretly its MY stuffed animal that can just sit in their room.

On the day that lonnie proposed to me he wanted to distract me so I would not come home striaght from work so he called jordan that day and told her to think of something. what did she think of," oh I will go buy the girls something," and tell her she has to come by and get it. Well not only did she go buy them something but she bought them several things but the main item at hand was, MONKEYS, what MONKEYs, yes monkey outfits. Which the girls will be making their debute home from the hospital in these monkey outfits.

Therefore, this is not just some random outfit or undergarment that my girls will wear it has meaning. Not only was this little outfit used to "try" and pursuade me so I could have the perfect engagement. It will also be the first outfit well top my girls will wear. Also given to me by one of my best friends. Plus it has a monkey on it. Which makes it just simply fab.

What is a name?

This is Mere aka Grandma Lou, Grand-mere, Grandma, granny, gram, nan, nannie or one of the million other options for what a grand child should call thier grand mother. I mean does there really need to be some type of name associated with each person so the child is provoked and knows what to try and say. or does it really matter?> should the baby just call her whatever he wants. Does the first grand baby really decide? or can it be up to the other ones that come after? So many things to ponder over just a name. Or is is just a name, is it a title, its something to be poud of, something that makes a child recognize who you are and what you are to them. Its not just a name its more than that, its your idenity that identifies you with your grand child and describes you as a person.

Thirty Fingers, Thirty Toes

Pregnancy is a privlage,

Experiencing Gods miracles on earth.

In just a short time,

I will be giving Birth.

Everything happens for a reason,

So I knew I would get through.

Then I found out my blessing

Was not only one but TWO.

At first they moved,

Just a little.

Anywhere from the

Top, botton, or middle.

Sonograms make it possible,

To watch our babies grow.

Then my belly popped out

And I started to show.

As time went past,

Their movements got stronger.

And then they would last,

A whole lot longer.

Ounces are starting to

Turn to pounds.

And they are starting

To respond to sounds.

People always ask me,

When are you due?

Shocked to here,

Three more months,

I am having TWO.

Its just a couple months

My two peas in a pod will arrive.

And my work,

Is just going to have to take five.

Watching and feeling

These miracles grow inside,

Makes my heart happy

And brings a smile I can not hide.

I ponder my thoughts of

Blonde hair or brown,

Maybe they’ll come out with

Rosie cheeks like a clown.

What is yalls size?

What will yalls length be?

Will yall be chubby or little?

Will yall want to come home with me?

Straight hair or curly,

Or a sprout or two

But none of that matters

Because I will love both of you.

So many things

That I want to know

But they are hidden inside

So the answers don’t show.

My girls may not have been

Planned from the start

But our two girls

Will be loved straight from our hearts.

In just a short time

I will get to look them in their eyes.

Uncle lonnie and soon to be daddy practices with Baby Keagan. This is just one he will be a daddy of two little girls, every bit of practice will help him along. I cant wait to see him with our two baby girls in his arms.

Fame Baby Shower

Yesterday, January 23rd 2010 my J5 family and friends had a gym baby shower for me. Judi Anderson, is wonderful and really made it a perfect day. I could not have expected or asked for more it was simply amazing. I walked into the door of the Founders bridge Club house to see my little cheerleaders barely recongized because they were all dressed in their street clothes and not cheer clothes. I am so used to seeing them in sports bras and shorts and not make-up, and cute outfits. They are not supposed to grow up yet:)

Judi walked right up to me and greeted me with a corsage that consisted of two pink flowers, one for lillianah and one for zoey grace. I walked around and greeted everyone who came to share that special day with me. I felt like a queen everyone smiling and being so nice. It was such a nice thing just to know all those people cared, they came to see me and share my special day with me. It made my day.

There was lots of great food and flowers and ballons that decorated the room. We all ate and socialized for the first hour that we were there. Then Judi made me sit in this big chair by the fire with ballons tied to it. With m wondering eye that saw a million gifts at the table to the left of me. I was in amazement. All the cheerleaders and their parents gathered around me as I opened all the gifts from everyone.  I would open and then turn to the crowd and here all the oos' and ahh's of cute baby girl stuff!:) Loved every minute of it. Bubble(Kylie buzzeo) sat next to me and handed me the gifts as I opened them.I would pass the card to my mere and she would write down who it was from and then Judi and Susan took the gifts and packed them back up for me. Perfect little circle we had going on.

I felt special on that day, so many things for my little girls. I got more than any one person could even ask for. I couldnt wait to get home to put it all away in my new nursery!

Hope one day my girls can join them in the sport that they love so much and that I love to coach!

Baby Keagan has ARRIVED!

Baby Keagan has arrived, he was born at Henrico Doctors hospital on January 12, @ 2:49pm He weighs 7 pounds and 7oz and was 19.5 inches long! Heather and Keagan are doing wonderful! Kevin is doing great as well! I think it has finally sunk into both of them that they are officially parents now! Keagan stayed in and out of the room with them last night at the hosptal so they could get some sleep before they go home. They will be there til Friday afternoon and then get to start their journey on their own of FAMILY! I am super excited to be an aunt and hold my little nephew. I was holding him today at the hospital and I said, "so this is what it is like and im going to be holding TWO of them! AHH -- Oh so soon will my lil nephew get to meet his cousins!!! I am wicked excited and cant wait for them to grow up together! My mom is obssesed with Keagan already! I went over today and mom was sitting in the chair holding him and heather said that she wont put him down! haha:) But its her first grandchild, so I am sure he is going to get spoiled to death! :) Everyone is very excited! Cant wait til she comes hom on Friday.

Nursery Update

Mom painted the Nursery last week- we have two pink walls and two orange walls and the Closet is PINK! It looks SO good she did a great job. Now we are just trying to figure out where to put the cribs! Its such a difficult task! ha- I am so ready to start decorating the nursery! I finished painting their wall names and then decided that i did not like the yellow so mom and i sanded them down and painted them pink and orange now I am almost done with them so I can hang them up! Heather gave me the cutest diaper bag for Christmas with the girls name on it. I am in love with it already--i secretly want to start carrying it around!:)

We go back to the doctor tom. to see our High Rish doctor for an ultra sound! I am VERY excited it has been 4 weeks since I have been so I am getting a lil anxious! Then on Friday we go and see our regular OB Dr. Royal.

The girls move like crazy now. I get kicks under my ribs and then all the way at the bottom of my stomach! I guess thats because their is two of them!

6 month Check up - Perinatal Visit!!!!

Well we went to see the high Risk Doctor today, and it went EXCELLENT! Both of our girls are gowing at a good rate and are where they need to be at this point! Lillianah weighs 1 pound and 6oz and is measuring at about 24 weeks and 2 days. Zoey grace weighs 1 pound and 5oz and is measuring at about 23 weeks and 4 days! We want them to stay at about the same weight! so it was alllllll good news today! I go back to the perinatal doctor in 4 weeks and then I will be at my third Tri-mester! Its crazy how fast it has started to go by! I go see my regular OB doctor tommorow afternoon! I will get measured then! Ha the girls were today and now its my turn tommrow---I dont know if I really want to step on that scale! ha awww! But its ok I know its for my girls and that means they are growing if I am growing!!:) Other than not really being able to sleep at night and my back hurting everything is great with the pregnancy! :)
Keagan UPDATE- Heather is going to the Hospital next week on the 12th and then is getting induced the morning of the 13th so Keagan Thomas will be soon entering this world and gracing us with his prescence! Lonnie and I both cant wait to be an aunt and uncle! We are SUPER stoked!

Some Nursery Items

This is the Diaper bag heather got me for christmas! This was my favorite gift--I am super excited about it! Lonnie already told me he was not carrying it because he needed a "masculine one" ha we will see when he has two baby girls!

These are the wall letters that I painted for the girls- Zoeys name is done too but not exactly sure where her crib is going to go so we can not hang her name yet! We just hung lillianahs today!! I LOVE THEM!! Anyone want some made and I will be glad tooooo make them! :)
